Novus Trial Consulting Achieves Victory in Hurricane Katrina Class Action Litigation |

A leading AmLaw 100 firm retained Novus Trial Consulting to assist in the defense of a major class action suit, in which the plaintiffs alleged that a barge under our client’s control played a key role in the breach of floodwalls that lead to the destruction of much of the Lower Ninth Ward in New Orleans. Judgment was entered in favor of our client, stating that the overwhelming physical and scientific evidence presented at trial proved conclusively that the barge did not cause the North and South Breaches to the floodwalls, and thus did not cause the cataclysmic flooding. Novus Trial Consulting’s compelling demonstratives as well as the seamless delivery of the graphics in court by our lead trial technician played a pivotal role in presenting the evidence in a clear and convincing manner at trial.
